Professor Wesley Prieb, with help from head librarian Bruce Entz and teachers’ assistant Mark Issac, on Friday finished moving the old records out of the attic of Marion County Courthouse to Tabor College Historical Library and Archives.

Lee Greenemeyer will no longer be the custodian of Marion’s parks and city building. After 11 years on the job, he is retiring and turning the responsibility over to Jim Bridges.

Mary Kay Cosmetics has promoted Vickie Fisher of Wichita, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Klassen of Marion, to sales director.

Richard Rittel of Marion won several awards at the 25th annual Topeka Rose Society Show of Rose Beauty held on Sunday at the Topeka Savings Association Building. His entries received two trophies and 10 blue ribbons.

Randy Kelsey, star backfield player on the Warriors football team, has signed a letter of intent to attend Bethel College at Newton this fall.

There will be an open house and dedication ceremony Sunday afternoon at the recently completed Carriage Manor in Florence. Tenant applications for the 24-unit low-income senior citizen housing complex are being accepted at the complex office and Florence city hall.

Fourteen Tampa senior citizens attended a performance of “Sound of Music” Thursday evening at the Crown-Uptown Dinner-Theatre.
