The silver spoons, that commemorate Marion’s Hill School building, now listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks, are available for sale to those who would like to have one of these outstanding collector’s items. They sell for $7 each.

More than 150 members of the Socolofsky family gathered in McPherson July 3, 4, and 5 to celebrate a centennial reunion commemorating the arrival on July 4, 1876, of Gottfried III and Katharina Socolofsky and their two sons in Peabody from their native village of Drispitz on the Volga River in Russia.
