Members of the board of directors of Marion County Hospital District No. 1 received good news Tuesday afternoon. The district will receive a quarter of a million dollars from the estates of Anna and Nellie Ryan, late of Florence.
More than 20 PRIDE awards will be presented Thursday at a banquet to be held at Eastmoor United Methodist Church. These awards have been entitled as “did-something” awards. Other accomplishments will be reported and recognized. The banquet is open to the public.
Mr. and Mrs. James M. Loney will be guests of honor Sept. 12 in celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary. The couple’s six children will host an open house at the Loney home.
