Workmen have nearly completed the project, to bring the station into a new theme being followed by Continental Oil Co., according to Bud Pierce, building owner.
Gypsies, seldom seen these days, have been following the roads of western Marion County. Durham and Goessel have reported several cars and trucks carrying gypsies have been seen in their areas. Tags on vehicles were from Alabama, Arkansas, and many other states, it was reported.
Four Marion High School students are attending a three-week summer debate camp at Emporia Kansas State College. They are David Colburn, Carla Stovall, Janice Esslinger, and Marsha Jackson.
Norma Hannaford returned last week after a three-week vacation trip throughout Europe. She visited London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris, and was in Salzburg when President Nixon was there.
Dick Bredemeier of Marion has been promoted to welding foreman at Hesston Corporation in the Farm Equipment Division.
