An old B-26 bomber brought to Marion from Hutchinson four or five years ago by James Shields of Wichita and stored on Howard Ford’s property in Jex Addition, was loaded on a long flatbed truck early Thursday morning and began its journey from Marion. It will be repaired in Newton, and later flown to Rantoul. When fixed and in a flying condition, it probably will be used for fighting forest fires.

Mr. and Mrs. Delvin O’Dell, Florence, wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ronda, to Eldon Hett, son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Hett, Aulne. No wedding date has been set.

Wayne Colle got his second hole-in-one on the Marion Country Club golf course. His first on the grass, it took place on the 175-yard number 9 green. Witnesses were Al Bernhardt, Dutch Hauser, and Bernie Waner.

KanzAton Junior Club will sponsor a holiday season movie Thursday night in Marion Municipal Auditorium. Walt Disney’s “The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit” will be shown at 7 p.m. There also will be three color cartoons.

The engagement of Mary Lou Bowers and Rick Just is announced by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Bowers of the Youngtown area and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Just of Aulne. An August wedding is planned.

Joe Ragole, 1972 graduate of Marion High School, has accepted an engineering position with Sperry Flight Systems, Phoenix, Ariz., a division of Sperry Rand, Inc. His parents are Joe and Phyllis Ragole, 125 S. Cedar, Marion.
