Joseph W. Brigman, 21, a Fort Riley soldier, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a double homicide Aug. 29 near Tampa.
He is accused of the shooting deaths of Dennis Armstrong. 31. and his wife Evelyn, 28, at their farm home northwest of Tampa.
County commissioners accepted the low bid of $1,162 Monday from the Ben Franklin store in Hillsboro for 18 CB radios, antennas, easy in-out brackets and eight converters. The radios will be used for vehicles in the road and bridge department.
An old-fashioned boarding house décor will set the scene for the Marion Community Arts Council dinner-theater Feb. 18. The quaint atmosphere will be created by Margaret May, Celia Byer, Linda Ogden, Barbara Abbott, Jean Long and Louise Colburn.
