First Federal Savings of Marion sponsored an Easter contest for members of the children’s’ savings club. Some of the winners are Reena Ruthloff, Kristi and Brendan Kraus, Dean Snelling, Michelle and Bradley Druse, Bryan Berry, Karen Sellers, Angela Bezdek, Kelly Kelsey, Angela and Dwayne Helmer, Tamara Stenzel, Anthony Heidel and Jill Thole.

District Magistrate Judge Henry F. Loveless is retiring after 31 years of public service, 10 as Marion County Sheriff and 21 as a judge in various capacities.

The circus is coming, and it will bring varieties of wild animals to Marion County that have never previously trod the soils of this area. Sponsored by the Marion Kiwanis Club, the five-ring show will be held May 10 under the “big top” tent at Marion Municipal Airport.

Edna Rupp, whose first employer became her last charge as a nurse, is the featured person in this week’s “Personality Profile.”

Simon Schmidt of Schmidt Studio in Goessel had four photographs accepted for exhibition at the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma convention. The selection included single portraits of Monica Krehbiel of Moundridge and Tami Robertson and Mike Fruechting of Marion. The other entry was a group picture composed of Lori Harris, Molly Ferrell, Beverly Bezdek and Cindy Moody of Marion.
