Saturday will be “farmers’ market” day in Marion. Gardeners and farmers are invited to display their produce for sale along the downtown sidewalks.

Bob Brookens, a native of Westmoreland, has decided to establish his law practice in Marion. Brookens is the son of District Judge and Mrs. John W. Brookens of Westmoreland. He will establish his practice in the building where Judge Westerhaus has been located. He expects to begin practice on July 31.

Mary Ann Wiens, licensed to operate a pre-school/day care center, is the subject of this week’s Personality Profile.

John Holub and Casey Case turned in sparkling performances this past Wednesday at Marion’s Senior Babe Ruth team routed Council Grove 8-3 on the Marion diamond.
