An anti-nuclear rally was staged Friday evening in Central Park to protest development of the nuclear power plant at Burlington, Kan. The rally was staged by members of the Movement for a New Society. The social order society held an organizing seminar this past week at Stone Prairie, southwest of Marion, formerly Cedar Rest, the county poor farm.

Weddings reported in this issue include those of Cathy Lee Nightengale and Mitchell Allen Foote, June 24; Karen Hagans and Michael Steppe, July 8; and Diane Wiens and Garvie Schmidt, July 22.

MHS graduating class of 1948 will observe the 30th anniversary of its graduation this Saturday with a gathering at the VFW post home. The group will enjoy a banquet at 7 p.m. They invite friends of the class to join them at approximately 9 p.m. for an evening of visiting.
