Bob Brookens, Marion attorney, has moved his law office to the building he has purchased at 407 E. Main. Brookens was formerly located in the Westerhaus law building.

A second snowstorm of major consequence hit Marion Countians over the past weekend, hard on the heels of the New Year storm that left eight inches or more of the wet stuff to clog roads and block streets and sidewalks. Amounts varied, but from four to six inches of additional snow fell Friday night and Saturday.

Marion High School Class of 1958 marked the 20th anniversary of their graduation at a reunion Dec. 26 which began with a dinner at the Owl Car Café. Afterward the group was invited to the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Christensen to visit and take pictures.

Herbert E. Meier, formerly of Marion, announced his retirement last week as president of Shepler’s Inc. He is the son of Jacob Meier of Marion and late Mrs. Meier.

Eloise Ison and Glenn Kerbs were united in marriage Dec. 30 at the Bethany Lutheran Church at Lindsborg.

Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Ehrlich were good Samaritans to a group of eight men from El Dorado working on the oil rig, which is drilling at the Ehrlich farm. They were stalled during the snowstorm and spent all day Saturday, that night and Sunday morning with the Ehrlichs.
