Mrs. John Wheeler, representing the county historical society, told county commissioners Monday, she would spearhead the project of updating the photo album of county officials if they approve her recommendations, which they did. Mrs. Wheeler said she and Phyllis Melton will begin work immediately.

Dr. Morton Diament, an American citizen from Scotland, is making arrangements to come to Marion to practice medicine. He recently spent a week in Marion and has returned to Scotland to make final arrangements to move here. He is expected to return in April.

Randy Steinert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woody Steinert of Tampa, has been hired as a staff accountant by the prestigious firm, Elmer Fox, Westheimer, and Co., at Wichita.

Five Florence Middle School students will represent Marion USD 408 in the countywide spelling bee March 28. They are Linda Robinson, eighth grade; Rochelle Mueller, seventh grade; Melissa Krispense, sixth grade, and alternates David Hanson and Jacqueline Hett.
