According to an announcement made this week, J. Robert Brookens will join Roger Morse and Dean Batt as partners in the practice of law at Marion starting Jan. 1.

It is unusual that all three winners in the annual Marion County Record subscription contest are Marionites. Rachel Keazer won first place, Mrs. Roy Hiebert second, and Herb Wullschleger, 3rd. First prize is $100 credit at any store which has advertised in the newspaper during November or December. Second prize is $50 credit and third is worth $25.

Dear Santa, I want a toy BB pistol, some Star Wars people, a police car, some house shoes and a watch band. I love you Santa. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Michel Soyez, age 6.

At the Friday noon meeting of the Marion Chamber of Commerce, the Rev. William Nelson announced that Dr. Don Hodson, Argonia, has expressed tentative plans to set up practice in Marion this summer. Hodson will complete three years of residency in Wichita this June. St. Luke Hospital administrator Ron Cork said Dr. Hodson would probably locate his practice at St. Luke Clinic.

Dear Santa, I am six years old. I would like a puppy, a kitten, and a Barbie Dream house and I will have sugar for the reindeer and fruit and milk for you. Love, Ashley Loomis. P.s. Say hi to Rudolph and Mrs. Santa. Please bring Brian a train.
