The City of Marion again will offer free trees to be planted on parkings in town. Trees for planting next spring are flowering peach, sugar maple, London plane (sycamore) and red oak.
Marion Rexall Pharmacy became Marion Professional Pharmacy Monday morning when Jerry Higgins turned over ownership to Bill Jinkens. Chris Wilkinson will be store manager and pharmacist.
Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kerbs of Tampa visited with Senator Bob Dole during a recent trip to the nation’s capitol in Washington, D.C. Their son, Glenn, a senior at Bethany College at Lindsborg, worked as a summer intern for five weeks in Senator Dole’s office.
