The latest of many tributes paid to the memory of Chaplain Emil Kapaun was the unveiling recently of a plaque in his honor. The ceremony was held during a Memorial Mass in the chapel at the headquarters of the 8th Cavalry Division in Korea. The chapel itself was erected by the men of his division in memory of the heroic chaplain.

Midshipman David R. Montgomery, son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Montgomery of Marion, has been named Brigade Supply Officer in the class of 1960 at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md.

Richard Meisinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Menno Meisinger of Marion, is a member of the 100-piece marching band at Kansas State University, Manhattan. Meisinger is a freshman in secondary education at K-State.
