The Marion Business and Professional Women’s Club sponsored a free coffee break at the Sears store Monday morning for all business people of the town in observance of National Business and Professional Women’s Week.

Fifth graders from Marion and Florence followed history last week when they visited the Santa Fe Trail. Students from the classes of Jean Case, Ruth Pankratz, and Cherry Hart made history come alive when they followed the route of the old trail in a bus driven by Della Rittgers.

Wint Smith was awarded a 10-year pin by Phillips Petroleum Co. last week at a dinner held in his honor.

A picture of the crew of the Marion-based emergency medical services includes Jim Bridges, director, John Daly, Eugene Enos, Lucille Britain, Ed Sandwell, Jerry Harp, Martin Tice, Gene Winkler, Dave Thomas, Bill Holmes, and Harvey Sanders. Several members were not present for the photo.
