E.M. “Irish” Ireland, former Marion High School coach and present coach at Hutchinson High School, will be the principal speaker December 3 at the annual meeting of the Marion Community Athletic Association.

Dr. and Mrs. C.A. Branch of Aulne had a number of callers Sunday to extend best wishes on their 55th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Earl Kreuter was in Wichita Saturday evening to attend the bi-monthly meeting of the National Association of Bank Women in the Wichita Room of the Lassen Hotel.

Miss Hallie Sue Schlesener of Herington and Dr. Robert L. Novak of Lost Springs exchanged double ring vows Nov. 7 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Herington.

Homer Stiller, Harold Keazer, and Art Schmersey attended a meeting of the Marion County Rural Mail Carriers Monday evening in the music room of the Durham High School.
