The big, new, multi-million dollar natural gas processing plant of Rounds and Stewart is rapidly going into full-scale production. Currently 22-million cubic feet of gas is being processed daily as the new major industry approaches completion and full production. The plant is located three miles west and five north of Marion. R.L. Fillipp is in charge of processing. Les Newlin is in charge of engines and compressors and Robert McElwain is in charge of gas field gathering system. All three men are residents of Marion.

Dr. Robert D. Wood, 35-year-old Peabody physician, was critically injured Sunday morning in a near head-on collision with a pickup truck about six miles south of Marion on “Old 77.”

Services will start this Sunday in the old Hill School Building for the congregation of the Steinreich Mennonite Brethren Church, which is moving to Marion.

Open house will be held Oct. 15 in honor of the 40th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Sandwell. Friends are invited to call on them at the home of their son and family, the Ed Sandwells.

Mark Kline celebrated his seventh birthday Sept. 28 with a party at his home. Guests included Brent Colle, Gale Cooper, Mike Edmunds, Bill Ford, Mike Jackson, Bradley Kimball, Doug Marler, Billy Newlin, Randall Perkins, Bradley Turk and Steven Widler.
