A large crew of men, some 160 of them and their families, are moving this week into Marion County to start work on a large new pipeline, which will cut across the northwest part of the county.

A program, “The Golden Years, Inc., of Marion County, offers a brightened future for aging residents. It will begin in Marion County this fall.

Senator Andrew F. Schoeppel will be speaker Monday evening at a program especially honoring Marion High School’s honor students. The program also will observe the annual Ladies Night.

Members of the Hill Grade School sixth grade class, taught by Mrs. Robert Edmunds, went to Emporia Friday on their annual class trip. Mothers who took cars were Mrs. Edwin Westerhaus, Mrs. Edward Good, Mrs. Willard Conyers, Mrs. Maurine Howell, Mrs. Glen Alexander, Mrs. Walter Oelschlager, Mrs. June Jost, and Mrs. Edmund Amick.
