The continually developing oil picture in Marion County got another good boost last week when the No. 1 Hauser came in as one of the best producers yet found in the county. It is on the George Hauser estate, about four miles north and a little west of Marion.

A unique business arrangement will be carried on in Marion this summer and fall. The Farmers and Drovers National Bank will transact its business from a large house trailer across the street, east of the bank building, while an entirely new building is built in the present location at the corner of Third and Main streets.

Marion High School graduating class of 1921 held its first reunion in 39 years May 30 in the Elgin Hotel dining room. Plans were made to hold the 40-year reunion next year.

Mr. and Mrs. David W. Wheeler, Lenore and Lou attended the outdoor commencement exercises in Moore Bowl Sunday at Washburn Law School, Topeka. Their son, D.W. Wheeler received his LLB degree.

Twenty Marion Country Club golfers took part in the first tournament of the season Sunday and Monday. Rosse Case was the “A” flight winner with a score of 69-75-144. Second in the flight was D.W. Montgomery. Max Jackson took honors in the “B” flight with 76-75-151. Bob Hoover was second.
