With the weatherman cooperating, the wheat harvest in Marion County is in full swing this week. With continued clear and warm days, this high-speed harvest should be over by the first of next week.

Donnie Bredemeier celebrated his fifth birthday June 28 by inviting several friends to the park for a wiener roast. Hosts were his mother Mrs. Dick Bredemeier, Chris Conyers, and Sharon Sturdy. Those present were Randy Criswell, Scott, Terry, and Jerry Conyers, Rhonda and Rodney Richmond, Allen Richmond, and Mike and Jim Bredemeier.

Welcome visitors at Cedar Rest Thursday evening for a tour of the home were Sister M. Alicia, administrator of St. Luke Hospital; Sister M. Agnes Claire, x-ray, laboratory, and medical technician; Sister M. Frances, teacher; Sister M. Norberta, dietitian; and Dr. R.R. Melton.

Some 60 to 70 Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents, their wives, families, and KBI office personnel met in Marion Sunday for a get-together, which may turn out to be an annual affair. Hosts for the potluck dinner at noon were Mr. and Mrs. James Kline. Ella Richter, wife of the late Lou Richter, KBI director, was a guest.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Navrat and Sue Summervill returned Monday night from a visit with the Marion boys who are working at the Idlewild Ranger Station at Winter Park, Colo. Their son, Dennis Navrat, Mickey Summervill, Neil Hoopes, and John Bateman are the boys.
