Robert Musgrave, superintendent of Marion City Schools for the past four years, was asked to return next year Monday night at a meeting of the board of education. Mr. Musgrave accepted verbally

St. Luke Hospital has been advised that they have again been rated as a fully accredited hospital by the joint committee on accreditation. A detailed inspection of the plant, facilities, staff, equipment, environment, etc. was made in December. The local hospital was first accredited in 1956, its fourth year of operation, and has been approved ever since that time.

The Marion FFA chapter held its annual Sweetheart ball Jan. 13 with Marianne Waltner as queen. Karen Higgins and Helen Olsen were her attendants.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schwartz of Geneseo announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth Blackburn, to Ronald Herbel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Herbel of Lincolnville. They have chosen Feb. 18 as their wedding date.

Tammy Case was guest of honor Thursday evening honoring her 11th birthday. Guests enjoyed a wiener roast around the fireplace in the Rosse Case home. Guests present were Patsy Wood, Jan Van Buren, Connie Thompson, Cathleen Costello, Kathleen Weber, Linda Oldham, Janice Jantz, Beverly Hoch, Beverly Elling, Maurita Deines, Susan Hansen, Susan Marler, and Tammy’s brother and sister, Brad and Teresa.
