Marion High School’s 1962 Football Homecoming Queen is pretty and popular Karen Higgins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Higgins Sr. She was escorted from her car Friday night by Warrior star, Keith Just.

Jerry Siebert, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Siebert, was seriously injured Friday evening when a car he was working on slipped off the jack, crushing him and pinning him underneath. Heroic efforts of Harold Olsen, 17, are credited with playing a large part in saving young Siebert’s life.

A Halloween party was held Monday evening at the Leslie Ford home for sixth grade girls. Joyce Ford and Cathy Costello were hostesses. Others present were Nancy Olsen, Linda Oldham, Susan Hansen, Susan Marler, Mary Beth Kjellin, Beverly Hoch, Beverly Elling, Tammy Case, Jan Herrick, Maurita Deines, Kathy Winter, Debbie Finke, Janice Jantz, and Kathy Weber.

Lucille Ann Rudolph and Bill Edward Olsen were united in marriage Oct. 6 at St. John’s Nep. Catholic Church, Pilsen

Kathy Westerhaus, Janet Varenhorst, Roxanne Zerger, and Patti Plenert were hostesses to a Halloween party Saturday evening for eighth grade students. The party was held in the Plenerts’ barn.

Keith Just of Marion has been selected to The Wichita Eagle’s first team of the mythical all-area team of the week
