Naomi Childs, clerk of the Marion County Selective Service office, has issued a reminder that all boys are required to register when they reach their 18th birthday.
The building that will house the new dial equipment and be headquarters for the Marion exchange of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company has been completed. It is located at the southeast corner of Locust and Lawrence streets.
Connie Jost, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jost, was named 1963 District Poultry Queen today at the Cottonwood Valley Poultry barbecue jamboree. Other contestants were Marianne Waltner of Marion, Sharon Ratzlaff and Ruth Friesen of Hillsboro, and Connie Shrag of Moundridge.
Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Province, well-known Marion couple, will mark their golden wedding anniversary Feb. 18.
