Mrs. Hannah Kruse’s reading class presented a play, “Ghost in the House,” on the Wednesday before Halloween. All 31 members of the class had a part in the play. Parents and grandparents of the students attended the program.

Maurice Williams, star Marion Warrior football player, was introduced at Kiwanis Monday as the “junior member’ for the month of November.

Miss Joyce Ann Klein of Marion became the bride of Jerry Joe Olsen, also of Marion, on Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Marion Christian Church. The Rev. Winston Worden read the double ring vows.

Twentieth Century Club members and husbands enjoyed a Halloween party Oct. 26 at the Reuben Zerger house, soon in the remodeling stage. Prizes for the best costumes were won by Mr. and Mrs. Rosse Case and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Robinson.

Diana Goertz of Happy Hustlers 4-H Club has received a Santa Fe Educational Award for outstanding club work in several fields. Diana, a sophomore at Kansas State University, has received a trip to National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago and a $400 scholarship to the university of her choice.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Winkley, Ruby and Jerry entertained at a Halloween party last Thursday evening. Guests were Larry Boese, Diane Nickel, Janita and Jerry Franklin, Keith Hett, and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hett.
