The school unification plan now proposed for Marion County calls for four unified districts instead of three. Under the revised plan, Marion will remain principally as it is with the addition of a portion of the Aulne district. Centre will remain as originally planned, as will the two districts proposed in the western and southern parts of the county.

S and S Oil and Propane Company of Emporia has purchased the Navrat 66 Service in Marion from Ed Navrat. There will be no change in the present personnel of Navrat Service.

The following nine couples are enjoying a week of skiing in Loveland, Colo.: Mr. and Mrs. Rosse Case, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hannaford, Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Higgins, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lewerenz Jr., Mr. and Mrs. John Brose, Dr. and Mrs. Earl Wood, Dr. and Mrs. C.R. Magee, Mr. and Mrs. Max Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jost.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gutsch of Lincolnville announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Kay, to Raymond Gottstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gottstein of Baldwin.

Verner Asp of Marion missed $200 in this week’s Cash Days drawing. Shirley Hess, Marion, missed $15; Ralph J. Funk, Hillsboro, missed $5; Pete Smith, Marion received $10; and Mabel Ginavan, Marion, received $5.
