Effective with publication of an ordinance in this issue of the RECORD, Marion officials are trying out an 11 p.m. curfew hour for minors under the age of 19.

Rain, sleet, and snow with strong winds put weather back into number one position in general conversation Monday afternoon. The blizzard was short-lived, with clearing and thawing at mid-week.

Five Marion High School seniors, Rich Soyez, Larry Ensey, Gene Schimpf, Mike Wray, and Don Westerhaus are on this year’s Warrior basketball team.

A visitation and preaching evangelism team that includes a popular and talented Marion girl, Anita Schlehuber, will be conducting a Crusade for Christ in the two Marion area Baptist churches during the first two weeks of February.

Marion Junior Chamber of Commerce has picked Miss Irma Wymore as their entry in the “Outstanding Young Teacher” competition. Miss Wymore is an English and dramatics teacher at Marion High School.

Four Marion youths make up a new musical combo that has been entertaining the young crowd in this area recently. They call themselves “The Rebels” and include Pat Costello, Jim Magee, and Wally Slusser on electric guitars and Rod Oelschlager on drums.
