Pictured is the famous Rube Band. Members of the band this year were 92-year-old Nodie Baker, Bill Meyer, Tom Good, Bob Hoch, Jean Pierce, Bud Pierce, Wilbur Rindt, Rosse Case, Bud Hannaford, Fred Allen, Lucille Britain, Bob Reinke, Betty Tipton, and Sue Harris.

Pictured are Patricia Sue Klassen and her father Verlan Klassen of Marion in the Tin Lizzie won Saturday at Paul & Ray’s Supermarket in Hillsboro.

Girl Scout Troop 59 met Oct. 4 in the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church. Jo Marie Mueller and Sue Woerz were elected patrol leaders with Teresa Case and Dottie Lentz as assistants. Kathy McCoy was elected troop treasurer and Sandra Cox as troop nurse.
