The 2011 Old Settlers’ Day Run starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the lake hall at Marion County Park and Lake.

The race is 5 kilometers, or a little more than 3 miles, running around the county lake, organizer Margo Yates said.

Runners will receive a bottle of water in a koozie and awards will be presented after the run. A 1-mile fun run will start after the 5K is completed.

In previous years, the Old Settlers’ Day Run has included between 12 and 36 runners, Yates said.

Registration costs $7, and can be done at the lake hall before the race.
