A picture by Les Broadstreet of members of the Marion Fire Department will appear in the next issue of the National Firemen magazine. Men in the picture are Bob Nelson, Joe Swan, Paul Keazer, Ruben Winters, Harry Mott, Earl Magathan, Chief Fred Knackstedt, Clarence Baxter, Ollie Wight, Hazel Meierhoff, Stanley Anderson, and Jake Hein.

The lovely new home, being erected on South Freeborn Street by Mr. and Mrs. Herman Behrendt, is nearing completion.

Elton F. Petersen, who has been a patient in Axtell Christian Hospital for the past several months, was able to return home this week. His friends are most happy to see him out on Marion’s streets again.

Aulne WSCS entertained their senior members Oct. 20 at a tea in the church basement. Honored members were Mrs. J.E. Hall, Mrs. Julius Robertson, Miss Bessie Ely, Mrs. Ray Wait, Mrs. Henry Winkley, and Mrs. Chris Nelson. Mrs. Frank Black and Mrs. W.H. Van Scoik were unable to attend. A family life sketch was given by each of the seniors which was immensely enjoyed by all present.
