An agreement was signed Nov. 21 in which the Marion hospital became a member of Kansas Blue Cross. With the signing of the agreement, the Marion hospital became the 122nd participating hospital in Kansas.
Arthur Schlehuber and Charles Batt recently purchased the Midwest Tractor Sales and Service Agency from Melvin Fritch. They will continue to operate the agency as in the past.
One of the highlights of the pre-Christmas season will take place Sunday evening when the Community Guild presents “And the Angels Sang” at the City Auditorium.

The pupils of Loveless school had a birthday party Friday afternoon for Judy and Jean Whitford and Roma Collett. The mothers of the guests of honor served refreshments to the school.
A total of $50 in prizes will be offered to home decorators this year to encourage more and better displays of Christmas in the residential district. Prizewinners must have a different display than the previous year in order to qualify for the money.
