H.G. McDaris has sold his stock in McDaris Motors and Machinery, Inc. and stepped out of the driver’s seat. Max Blackwelder, one of Marion’s most popular young businessmen, has assumed management of the firm which will be known at Marion Motors and Machinery, Inc.

John Rupp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rupp, celebrated his 12th birthday at the Roll-in Rink. The guest list included Nancy Keazer, Alda Ratts, Kay Navrat, Jeanette Russell, Billie Herbert, Deloris Reed, Lenore Wheeler, Mayme Swehla, Betty Ford, Judy Coons, Carmen Siebert, Connie Long, Larry Schlehuber, Marion Summervill, Paul Morse, Dwight Kruse, Darrell Riffel, Milton Weidenbener, and Jerry Ratts.

Remodeling and redecoration are under this week on the new office location for the law firm of Johnston and Costello. They will occupy the room immediately south of the Farmers and Drovers National Bank on Third Street.

Members of the Pioneer Patrol of the Boys Scout had a wiener roast, overnight party, and breakfast Friday at the Kenneth Wingerd home. Scouts attending were Robert Meisinger, David Montgomery, Dean Kelsey, Dick Hoch, Oscar Davies, Jerry Seifert, and Bruce Wingerd.

Mr. and Mrs. George King, owners and operators of Kingfisher’s Inn, treated the entire Marion High School football squad to a chili supper Friday night following their win over Hope High School.
