Marion High School Warriors kept their 1950 slate clean when they won a hard fought game from their ancient rivals, Peabody, in the annual season’s windup on Thanksgiving Day. The final score was 25-12 in favor of the red and blue.
Father Emil Kapaun, son of Mr. and Mrs. Enos Kapaun of the Pilsen community, was reported missing in action in the Korean theater, according to a telegram received by his parents Tuesday. He has been missing since November 2.
The junior class of Marion High School is presenting the three-act comedy, “Almost Summer” Thursday and Friday nights. The nine player-parts are taken by Bill McKibbin, Mary Hannaford, James Propp, Mary Ann Skibbe, Sarabel Wolf, John Newcomer, Dan Brodhead, David Leppke, and Clair Hyde.
Dr. R.C. Smith this week announces that he is moving his office to his home on Elm Street for reasons of convenience and health. Dr. G.J. Goodsheller will maintain his office at the present location above the Marion National Bank. The cooperative practice between these two men has existed for 40 years and together they started the Marion hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wheeler announce the engagement of their daughter, Suzanne, to Desmond Burke Watt, of Bozeman, Montana. The couple will wed December 27 at St. Patrick’s Church, Florence.
