An 8-page supplement to this issue of the newspaper features the grand opening of Paul Seifert Motor Company. Personnel include Ira Newcomer, Fred Muck, Howard Siebert, Gene Boettcher, Jack Helmer, Francis May, Norma Sly, George Heidel, Mrs. Fred Muck, Orval Holder, Virgil Weber, Marvin Schmidt, and Clyde Smythe.

Six phonograph records, each one autographed by Al Jolsen, will be given away by the Kaw Theatre in conjunction with their early showing of the movie, “Jolson Sings Again.” The six records will go to three shut-ins (a blind boy and two polio patients) and to thee members of the theatre audiences.

Otis Griggs and Harold Hereford have announced they will turn over all their profit for next Saturday to the Marion County polio fund. Mr. Griggs stated they chose Saturday because it should prove to be a big day with the Seifert opening and the Riddle Quarries fertilizer and plant food meeting.

Marion basketball fans are in for a real treat this Monday night when they will see the Boeing team of Wichita play the Marion city team on the MHS court.
