The Community Guild will host a “Stunt Night” Friday evening at the city building. The program will offer a full program of stunts and musical specialties. One of the busiest groups will be Joe Gamache and his Stardusters who will play before, during, and after the show.

“Miss Jimmy,” a three-act farce has been selected as the senior play. Leading roles have been assigned to Nora Zeller and Bud Hannaford. Others in the cast are Loretta Conyers, Joyce Keazer, Dolores Razor, Vicki Barrett, June Avery, Ralph Dohner, and Don Sklenar.

Miss Marilyn Hayen has been elected to teach third grade in the Hoisington schools for the coming year.

Scarlet fever made its appearance in two places in Marion County this week, according to Marion County Health Department. One case was one family west of Lost Springs where six were taken ill. The other case was on farther west. Mumps seem to be tapering off, with only four new cases reported this week.

Miss Laura Jane Bredemeier, member of the Sunshine 4-H Club, was selected by the 4-H Council to represent the county at the Holstein Dairy Queen contest to be held in conjunction with the Spring Holstein Show.
