The seven two- and three-bedroom homes planned by the Riddle Quarries will begin to take form by July 1, according to an announcement this week. This fine addition to the city is located in the fifth block on South Cedar Street. The two-bedroom houses will sell in the neighborhood of $8,000 and three-bedroom around $9,000.
Formal approval was received this week on the sale of the local franchise for Chevrolet and Buick automobiles by Paul Seifert to C.E. Cook of Topeka.
The popcorn stand to be operated by Everett Burkhead, blind young county man, is expected to arrive this weekend. Location of the stand will be in the first block on South Third Street, on ground donated for the purpose by the Farmers and Drovers National Bank.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hayen celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last Friday. Greetings from their children came in the form of a beautiful sink unit installed in the kitchen of their home on Monday by Mack Hardware.
