Tom Christensen announces this week that he has taken over management of the Cubby Hole Lunch. He will be open for business beginning this Friday evening.

Erle Volkland, for the past four years principal of Marion High School, has accepted a similar position in the high school at Neodesha.

On Feb. 10, double ring vows united in marriage Faith Seifert, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonah Seifert, and Robert Skibbe, son of Mrs. Lydia Skibbe.

Mostly Malarkey—Another observance on the advent of TV is that five houses in a row on South Lincoln are sporting those pesky antennas.

Dr. and Mrs. Chas. Magee took their three children, Joan, Jimmy and David on their first train ride Saturday. They drove to Newton and took the Santa Fe Chicagoan to Kansas City where they had dinner, went to a show, then caught the Kansas Citian back to Newton in the evening. They had dinner that evening in the train diner.

Mrs. Hugh Gardner asked young folks in for a buffet supper Friday evening in celebration of her son, Warren’s 14th birthday. Guests were Wade Robertson, Junior Vogel, John Minear, Bill Burkholder, Dale Johnston, Mary Lou Conyers, Jan Blackwelder, Margaret McClain, Jeanie Kline, Elda Pankratz, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry James.
