A cornerstone laying ceremony will be held this Sunday afternoon at the site of the new Youngtown church in the process of construction. The 30 x 50 frame building with full basement will be larger than the one recently damaged beyond repair by a tornado.

Charles W. Logan, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Logan of Lost Springs, died early Wednesday morning in a Topeka hospital, a victim of infantile paralysis.

Following a long session Monday evening, the school board more or less reluctantly decided upon a location for the new gymnasium and vocational agriculture building soon to be built. It was decided the only feasible location will be on Lincoln. The approximate 100 x 150 building will face east on Lincoln and extend from the south side of the school driveway almost to the south property line and west toward the city water tower.

Carolyn Merrill returned Wednesday from Camp Wood at Elmdale where she has been the past two weeks.

Roberta Newsom and Janice Meisner are attending music camp at Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., for two weeks. Mrs. R.H. Newsom and Donna drove them to Colorado over the weekend.
