Marion’s water supply is still on the critical list, with only a small trickle running over the dam. The watering schedule remains in effect. Watering hours on the north side of town are from 8-11 a.m. and on the south side from 2-5 p.m.

Ernie Haas has been employed by C.E. Cook as the new manager of the Cubby Hole Café. The café formerly was managed by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dick. Haas announces he will keep the Cubby Hole open from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Rudolph Kotelensky, Marion, was present at the Kaw Theatre Monday night to claim $120 in prize money for the weekly Cash Night.

The Marion Warriors are now at the top of the Cottonwood Valley League, being the only team in the loop with an undefeated league record.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kreuter entertained employees and directors of the Marion National Bank Saturday night with a dinner at Kingfisher’s Inn complimenting Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Tidwell and family who soon will move to Caldwell.

Miss Julia Campbell and Mrs. Harvey Kruse were in El Dorado Tuesday to visit the schools there. On Wednesday, two more teachers, Mrs. Louise Colburn and Miss Arlene Schmidt went to McPherson to visit their schools.

Two Marion offices, Dr. E.K. Schroeder’s dental office and Case and Son insurance office, were broken into Monday night and cash stolen from both.
