The city’s water supply is again fully adequate after several weeks of high consumption and diminished supply. Cooler weather has cut consumption almost in half.

Births at Marion Hospital since Oct. 29 include: Marsha Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McDaris; Steven Kent, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller of Florence, Maynard Vernon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Weber, a baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Gene Rector and Maurice, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams.

Georgene Tajchman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tajchman, and Harold L. Byram, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Byram, were married Oct. 27 at St. Mark Catholic Church.

Marion and Peabody football teams are tied 5-0 in the Cottonwood Valley League. Following behind them are Florence, Cottonwood, and Hillsboro tied at 3-3. They are followed by Council Grove 2-3, Herington 1-4, and Hope 0-5.

Marion Kiwanis Club members elected Homer Stenzel president this week at their annual election. Other officers elected were Dean Batt, first vice president, Rosse B. Case second vice president, and Mac Kreuter, treasurer.

Friends were invited to a party at the home of Jan Rathert Saturday evening. Those present were Lisa and Diana Vinduska, Janice Weber, Ethel Brunner, Dorothy Hedrick, Sue Summervill, Sue Ann Bratton, Ruth Muck, Bess Haizlip, Carol Conyers, Margie Winters, Dena Gleason and Joyce Remmers.
