The personal car of John Dillinger, gangster of the prohibition era, will be on display on Marion’s Main Street next Wednesday, sponsored by the Marion Jaycees. The car is a 16 cylinder Cadillac capable of 100 miles speed. It is equipped with smoke and tear gas generators, a tack-spreading device and other interesting gadgets. The Dillinger gang used the car for 39 holdups and 13 murders.

Marion High School track team won the Cottonwood Valley track meet last week. According to school officials, this is the first time in known history of the school that all three athletic activities (football, basketball, and track) have taken first place in one season. In fact, it is the first time in known history (20 years) that any school of the league has had such a record in one season.

Chuck Mather, University of Kansas head football coach, will be the main speaker at the annual Kiwanis-sponsored high school athletic banquet this coming Monday in the Marion City Building.
