Several reports have come in the past two weeks of white-tailed deer being seen in this vicinity. They have been reported recently southwest of Antelope and northwest of Marion.

Marion Gymnasium was used for the first time Tuesday evening as the setting for the annual Marion High School commencement exercises. The school auditorium has become too small to hold all who wish to attend.

Members of the eighth grade and junior high principal A.W. Haizlip observed their annual Spring Sneak Day on Thursday and went to Joyland amusement park in Wichita.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ehrlich announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna Rae, to Robert Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kelly, Florence. The wedding will be this summer.

The faculty of Bown-Corby School had a luncheon Wednesday at Kingfisher’s Inn honoring teachers who are not returning next year, including Mrs. Kenneth Swanson, Evelyn Tiegreen, Annabelle Leek, and Mrs. Silas Weidenbener.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. DuVall and Judy Thatch had an open house for the senior class, their dates, and sponsors after commencement exercises Tuesday evening. The group watched television, played cards, and visited. Refreshments were served by the hosts.
