Advertised this week is the sale of three schoolhouses from former school districts. To be auctioned May 3 is the former District 40 schoolhouse, north of Peabody; the former District 46 southeast of Peabody; and the former Harvey County District 3, west of Peabody on the old highway.

Donna Hobein will present the following pupils in a piano recital April 25: Kenneth Bowers, Etta Mae Rempel, Paul Schmersey, Lavern Hoffman, Jessie Jewett, Vernon Bowers, Leonard Hoffman, Vera Remmers, Neil Hoopes, Lavina Hoffman, John Rupp, Ruth Dunn, and Dorothy Markham.

Johnny Christensen celebrated his sixth birthday Tuesday afternoon with a party after school. Guests were Joel Newlon, Gerald Kelsey, Ronnie Prieb, Jerry Schwemmer, Gailen Broadstreet, Johnnie Russell, James Melton, Tommy Good, and Stephen Seaton.

Six students at Wichita University represent Marion County this semester. They include Virginia Lee Geis, Howard L. Collett, Douglas Conrod and Donna Jean Christensen, Marion; Helen Bennett, Peabody; and Betty L. McMillen, Florence.
