Herbert J. Kindred, 60-year-old Emporia businessman was brutally beaten, shot repeatedly, and left dying on a lonely road five miles west of Florence. Kindred’s body was found Wednesday morning beside the little used abandoned road near the Fairplay schoolhouse by Louis Hargett, a farmer living about 10 miles south of Marion. Robbery and a desirable get-away car are suspected as motives for the killing.

Main features of the new shape, according to manager Gordon Wolf, is that they take up considerably less space in the refrigerator and are easier to handle. The firm has also recently installed new bottle washing and milk processing equipment to their modern plant.
