SENIOR CENTER:   99-year-old gets special parking spot

Marion Senior Center

Marion Senior Center recently erected a special sign to mark a parking spot closest to the center’s entrance. The spot is reserved for Irene Richmond, 99.

Shirley Bowers and Keith Allison were recognized one day for regularly volunteering their piano-playing talents.

On April 14, Sue Clough honored Craft Corner volunteers and the women who take care of daily reservations.

Aulne United Methodist Church members visited the center April 15. Wanda Williams, Gary Grentz, and Maryellen Stenzel were celebrating birthdays. Harlow Warneke grilled hamburgers as part of the birthday celebration.

Head cook Barb Bitner and her brother/helper Ron Wright, were recently on vacation, during which Bitner’s son, CJ, did the cooking.

A business meeting was conducted April 20.
