Robert D. Stovall, 88, died June 30 in Wichita.

He was born May 20, 1923, in Florence, to B.P. and Erma Stovall.

He attended Peabody schools and graduated from Peabody High School in 1941.

He was employed by Quality Chevrolet in Wichita for 44 years.

His parents and a sister, Shirley Headley, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dea; two brothers, Jack Stovall of Hampstead, N.C. and Bill Stovall of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were July 2 with longtime friend Toby Fisher officiating at the service. Entombment was in the Bruce Newton Mausoleum at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
