‘Coffee and lunch bunch’ are back

A group of eight former classmates and Marion residents deemed “the coffee and lunch bunch” were welcomed back to Marion Senior Center after a Jan. 6 presentation.
Barb Smith presented a book about Marion to patrons.
Longtime meal delivery volunteers Gary and Karen Chaput are moving to Missouri and Myrta Billings will take their place.
At the next Senior Center Day, Smith will talk about being a representative payee for persons who need help with Social Security benefits.
The Senior Center will close Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The center also closes any time USD 408 closes because of bad weather.

Friday – Oven-fried fish, potato wedges, peas, apple pie, roll.
Monday – Closed.
Tuesday – Baked pork chop, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and onion, cinnamon applesauce, brownie, roll.
Jan. 21 – Turkey tetrazzini, peas, garlic bread, peach crisp.
Jan. 22 – Roast beef and gravy, roasted red skinned potatoes, steamed broccoli, gelatin cake with whipped topping, roll.
