'Pink night' planned at CHS

The Burdick Relay for Life team is hosting a pink night Jan. 14 at Centre High School, when Centre basketball teams will play Hope.

“We want to raise cancer awareness and at the same time raise money for the American Cancer Society,” spokesperson Linda Peterson said. “We would like the gym to be full of pink shirts.”

Burdick Relay for Life will be selling pink T-shirts at the upcoming Friday and Tuesday home games. Sponsors purchased the shirts, so the $10 charge for each shirt will go directly to ACS.

The shirts read, “Hoops 4 Hope.” Those who purchase a shirt will have their names entered in a drawing for $100 cash, $50 cash, and a season ticket for Centre games.
