Nathan Barney
For the past 12 years, Nathan Barney has been a member of Tampa Triple T 4-H Club.
He has taken foods projects, entomology, sheep, and swine. For the past six years, his focus has been on sheep projects.
For his efforts, Nathan has received numerous 4-H key pins and his sheep have won grand champion several times.
Nathan also has won grand champion showman awards.
Nathan plans to attend Kansas State University and is interested in agriculture business or agriculture economics.
Gene and Denise Barney of Tampa are his parents.
Kaitlin Dailey
Kaitlin Dailey has been a member of Goessel Goal Getters 4-H Club for 12 years.
Her projects have included reading, dairy goat, market goat, leadership, crocheting, and bucket calf.
She has earned all of the key pines, record book project awards, and Kansas State University Key Award.
Kaitlin plans to attend North Park University in Chicago and may major in genetic engineering or secondary education for biology. Don and Laura Dailey of Canton are her parents.
Anthony Esau
As a member of Goessel Goal Getters for the past 12 years, Anthony Esau has been enrolled in photography, fine arts, leadership, geology, electricity, plant science, robotics, and a self-determined project which was computers.
He has earned awards for being the county project champion for geology, photography, plant science, robotics, leadership, electricity, and computers. Anthony has received achievement awards on all levels including a Key Award on a national level.
He plans to attend Fort Hays State University and major in graphic design.
David and Aileen Esau of Goessel are his parents.
Sheila Makovec
Sheila Makovec has been a member of Tampa Triple T for nine years.
Projects she has taken includes crafts, photography, and foods, with photography and crafts projects being top winners at the county level and shown at the state fair.
One of her photos also was selected to be featured in the annual 4-H calendar.
Sheila plans to attend KSU and major in interior design.
Gail and Marissa Makovec of Ramona are her parents.
Laura Unruh
Although a relative newcomer, Laura Unruh of Goessel Goal Getters has been in 4-H for two years and has been enrolled in goats and cooking projects.
She was reserve champion at last year’s county fair for her wheat bread. She also had the grand champion goat in her class.
Laura plans to attend Hesston College in the fall and has not yet decided on a major.
