Joyce Jackson chose to celebrate a “un-birthday” on Aug. 14 with Marion Senior Center patrons because she will be out of town after Christmas when her real birthday comes this year.
Senior center patrons celebrated Jean Pierce’s 90th birthday Aug. 19.
Aulne United Methodist Church members also attended dinner that day to honor August birthdays for Archie Stenzel, Eugene Just, Bill Scriven, and Don Fruechting.
Sue Clough conducted a business meeting Aug. 19. Chris Hernandez of Edward Jones spoke to patrons. His office manager, Jamie Shirley, attended.
The senior center has fabric for sale at Craft Corner. Some of it is for quilt making.
Lanell Hett, coordinator for county transportation services, will give a presentation Sept. 2 about the service.
