The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

U.S. 50:

Jeremy M. Miller, 25, Newton was east bound on U.S. 50 in a 2005 Ford Civic registered to City of Peabody, at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 10 when a large bird flew into the top of the vehicle. No injuries were reported but more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S. 50 near 90th Road:

Thea R. Harrison, 19, Wichita, was eastbound on U.S. 50 at 1 p.m. Sept. 20 in a 2005 Dodge Neon and was passing a vehicle but did not see the oncoming car. Harrison swerved to the north but so did the oncoming car. Harrison then swerved to the south, lost control, and hit the 2009 Mack truck driven by Wayne L. Harlan, 56, Blue Springs, Mo. and registered to ABF Freight, Oklahoma City, Okla., in the rear tire of the front trailer. Austin Clark, 14, Wichita was a passenger in the Dodge. No injuries were reported but more than $1,000 in damages.
